Who needs Uplock?

01

Anyone who always wants to have a lock with him.

You know this situation? At the end of your Sunday cycle tour, you meet a friend by chance and want to have a cool drink together in a nice beer garden nearby. Unfortunately, you don't have a lock with you because you hadn't planned a break when you set off. What a shame - you haven't seen your friend for a long time...

That doesn't have to be the case - with Uplock, an integrated, patented folding lock you always have with you. It consists of two components, the Uplock seat post and the Uplock folding lock. The highlight: the seat post can be folded away and the lock disappears into the seat tube. This means your anti-theft
protection is stowed away, out of sight, it doesn't get in the way - but it is available any time. You never have to worry again: Did I take my lock with me? Or: Do I need a lock today?

02

Anyone who values a clean look.

You've bought a new and cool bicycle for the city, minimalist in design and equipment, nice and light, and not exactly cheap. You need a good lock to go with it - but where to put it? Mount a folding lock or even a U-lock on the delicate frame? No way... Wrap a chain lock around the seat post? Scratches the carbon and gets in the way when pedalling... Into the rucksack? Fine - but who wants to be constantly travelling with this (often not really cool;-) item? Which also eventually gives you a wet back...

That's why we at Uplock thought about the bike lock: What is the best way to store it on the bike? The result is quite different from all the locks on the market - because you can't see it at first: It's hidden in the seat post. The patented Uplock seatpost has a folding mechanism to access the lock. You unlock the safety lock and fold the saddle sideways. This makes the folding lock accessible. Now insert the key into the exposed lock, turn it and pull the lock out of the post with the key.

03

Anyone who loves his bike.

With a turn of the key, you unlock the lock, unfold it and now have a 93 centimetre long lock at your disposal with which the bike can be connected to a bicycle stand, a lamp post or a railing.

Connect it? Sure - according to the important motto: ‘Not just locking, but connecting!’ Don't just lock the bike - secure it against being driven away - but connect it to a fixed component. So that the bike cannot simply be carried away, loaded into a lorry and taken to a place where the lock can then be picked at leisure (a popular method in major cities around the world for many years). To continue riding, simply unlock the lock, fold it up, fold away the saddle, slide the lock into the seatpost, turn and remove the key, fold back the saddle, secure it and ride off. Just like that - without Velcro fasteners and fiddling when mounting the lok in the holder, and without any rattling on the road...

How Uplock works

Who is behind Uplock?

Tricycle, folding bike, bonanza bike, touring bike, mountain bike, racing bike, city bike, trekking bike or e-bike - Uli Press has pedalled pretty much everything in his life that is on the bicycle market. The graduate
industrial engineer and long-time marketing specialist is the founder and CEO of solos engineering, the company behind Uplock. Uli's love of bikes has characterised him since childhood and was the driving force behind the development of Uplock.

Uli has channelled all his engineering knowledge into the patented lock concept, his ideas about aesthetics, look, feel, shape and materials, his ‘out of the box’ thinking. The result is something that has never been seen before: A lock system that is always with you, that doesn't get in the way, that provides all the options you need to lock your beloved bike securely at all times. No - connect it;-!
